My husband and I stayed in cottage 2 cute little cottage. Derive was amazing very nice and helpful. Very clean The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on in a hotel. Nice fluffy pillows and very soft blankets. They really made it feel like home instead of a hotel. Nice clean sandy beach. Definitely will be going back
Owner went above and beyond when I called to book a cabin and a room a week before. When we arrived I had a problem with the tv in the cabin and he came right over to fix it. The cabin was nice and clean and the room was clean and tidy as well. I can't wait to go to north Bay again so I can rent the cabin again
It would be hard to beat the location, right on Lake Nipissing. Incredible sunrises, lots of activities on the water, direct access to a beach that stretches to the nearby conservation area. Check in was fast and easy. Our room was large and clean. It came with a fridge, microwave and decent sized TV. Lots of windows with good curtains. The motel is dated, from another era when rooms were larger but not really missing anything with the exception of a hair dryer. Parking at the door is handy. Motel has about a dozen rooms plus three cabins. Owners take obvious pride in the place, lots of gardens and seating areas plus a ramp to the beach. Beds (two doubles) were very comfortable. Linen was clean. Extra pillows in the closet.
We spent one night at the Glenwood and watched a storm come in and even saw lightening. Had a brand new bed in our room. My cousin got her nails done the next morning and we were happy campers. We suggested a door mat (for sandy feet) and loveseat for the room we were in - just got email they have done it. After the storm went thru Kim was out cleaning up stuff blown in. The facility may not be brand new, but they are taking care of it. Very friendly. I will go back!!
We really enjoyed our weekend at Glenwood Motel & Cabins! The cabin was very clean. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We had 2 dogs with us and they were well received. Definitely planning on booking here again when we return to North Bay. The location is very convenient. A very relaxed time!
Great affordable place close to amenities, movie theater, beer and liquor stores, groceries, etc. Amazing sunsets and chill owners that seemed very laid back. Can't complain.
The Glenwood is a hidden North Bay gem. Sunny, the owner is very friendly and make sure you ask for room #12. I wrote a crime-fiction book with a scene involving the Glenwood and room #12 and I finally caught up with Sunny. He tells me his motel has been used for movies also and I can see why. The motel is situated right on the lake with it's own private beach. It's clean, quiet, and you can keep to yourself or chat with other travellers. It is an absolute gem and my go-to spot when travelling!
Beyond exceptional experience. The manager is the sweetest hotel operator I've ever met. Very cheap and lots of space in the room, amazing view of Lake Kipissing from the huge windows. Private and secluded beach. I would travel great distances to stay again. If you can, book the room on the lake front.
